On Your First Glimpse of Me

Hello there,

If you are reading this, then welcome to my world! It’s kind of a strange one (but probably no stranger than anyone else’s— we’ve all got our quirks after all). Also, thanks! You’ve given me a shot and I’m grateful for that.

"What am I giving her a shot at?," you may be asking yourself. Let me explain. I’m a graduate student in Psychology, a big and little sister, a best friend, a singer, a guitar player, an actress and a wannabe writer. That being said, I kind of suck at fiction writing, which seems to be an anomaly in the tumblrverse (did I make that up or is that a thing?), but I’m really good at non-fiction writing. So the plan is to write something non-fiction everyday; think less diary and more essay.

My hope is that in doing this I will become more aware of the world around me. I really think that most people (including myself) take the many intricacies and moments of life for granted and I hope to become a little more aware through reflection and writing. I figured, why not take you along for the ride. Maybe we can learn from each other. I can’t promise that it’ll be pretty (or even good) all of the time, but it’ll be something!
